Traceability for European buyers
Origin and supply-chain information for European buyers assessing charcoal from Paraguay.
Current regulatory context
Last reviewed: 30 July 2026
The European Commission states that the main EUDR obligations apply from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and for micro and small operators already covered by the EU Timber Regulation. They apply from 30 June 2027 for most other micro and small operators.
Under Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1093, Paraguay remains in the standard-risk category because it is not listed as a low- or high-risk country. This classification does not approve an individual product or supply chain.
EUDR scope
Relevant buyers may require information covering product identity, species, country of production, geolocation, production period, legality and supply-chain linkage.
BRICAPAR can organize and provide available upstream information for the confirmed product and supply option.
Information
Product description, classification, species, quantity and country of production.
Plot geolocation, production date or period and relevant legality records.
Lot references connecting source, charcoal production, packing and shipment.
Buyer responsibility
BRICAPAR can provide the agreed supply-chain information. The relevant EU operator or trader remains responsible for the due-diligence obligations that apply to its role.
EUDR is not a product certification. BRICAPAR does not describe charcoal as “EUDR approved” or “EU approved.”
